    Cloud init is the standard when it comes to provisioning servers. Not only in large clouds such as AWS, others use it too in one way or another. It would be good if SolusVM would follow this standard.

  6. Allow us to limit IOPS and Disk Speed per KVM VM

    It would be amazing if we could easily and automatically (without using that config hack) limit IOPS and disk speeds assigned to the VM. Currently, anyone can just use all available node speeds without limitations.

  8. Allow for per customer networks

    We would like to be able to give customers their own virtual network. Instead of adding them onto a global internal network we prefer to have something like Open vSwitch or similar. This allows for overlapping internal address scopes for example. It would improve the security of internal systems, e.g. a database server.

  9. OpenVZ/KVM Automated Anti-Abuse Daemon

    Hi,

    This thread serves as a proposal for an anti-abuse system daemon, that could automate the monitoring of the VM's and avoid abusing in terms of IO, CPU and Network, the latest the less critical.
    Some sort of Nodewatch, directly integrated and the nodes, that can handle the suspensions and all that. It's something that should have already been done in my honest opinion.

    Requirements for it:

    • Give cgroups some use!;
    • Ability to throttle CPU, IO / Network;
    • Define thresholds for suspensions;
    • Hook for billing panel integrations.

  12. Allow SolusVM 2 to use the VM snapshot to create a new VM.

    It would be better if SolusVM 2 allows to create a new VM from the VM Snapshot, so that the client could have a cloned VM easily.

  13. Customize graphs

    Allow us to customize the style of graphs for SolusVM. Currently, graphs look like they are from the software which was used in 1990. Or alternatively, allow us to parse data so that we can create our own styled graphs.

  14. Live Migration Option for OpenVZ

    When you migrate an OpenVZ Container, there needs to be a simple checkbox for "Live" migration, which would add the --live function to vzmigrate. I never use the built-in migration because it doesn't have this feature and there's no reason not to do a live migration in most cases. This takes the VM down only a minute or two vs hours.

  15. Change the VM hostname from SolusVM 2 panel - Without using Guest-tools/Cloud Init

    It would be great to have a feature in SolusVM 2 to change the Hostname without involving the Cloud-init utility, just like the SolusVM 1.

  17. UEFI Bootloader support for KVM

    It would be better to have an option select bootloader as UEFI for KVM VM since windows allow the resize of more than 2TB with only UEFI bootloader, BIOS bootloader is not resizing the Windows VM when it have more than 2TB.

  18. Multiple Bridge Support in SolusVM.

    When we have multiple VLAN tagging interfaces, we suppose to create new bridge for each VLAN interfaces. So it would be better if SolusVM supports multiple bridges for KVM and Xen virtualization.

  19. Ability to set more then 2 nameservers in ip blocks

    Hello,

    In RFC2182 recommendation is to use at least 3 nameservers.

    In solusvm ip block admin we can only set two so it should have the ability to use at least three or more.
