Proper VM backups
I would like the ability to do fast decent VM backups similar to how OnAPP does it, or integrate r1soft like Onapp v6 will do which would be a better backups solution.61 votesIn Testing · 17 comments · Backups · Admin →

Custom ISO / Remote URL ISO Support
Currently, customers need to ask the providers to mount an ISO. It would be useful to allow the customers to mount an ISO from an URL. Not that hard to implement, and saves a bunch of hours.44 votes

It would be better SolusVM supports High Availablity option.
Let say, we have a complete clone for a Slave Node, if one goes down, the clone slave will be run with it's all VM. So that the clients will never face any downtime on their VM.27 votes

OpenVZ 7 Support - VM and Containers (dual virtualization)
Have SolusVM start using the new features of OpenVZ 7. Allow for creation of hardware VM's (KVM) and OS containers. This will allow dual virtualizaiton on the hardware nodes.25 votes
Add multiple Volume Group support for KVM and Xen.
It would be good to have an option to select the Volume Group before the VM creation.
At the moment, SolusVM is allowing us to create VM from only one Volume Group. Let's say, there are two HDD's available for VM creation in Xen/KVM. One is SATA and another one is SSD. If we have an option to select the Volume Group, we could create two different Volume Group from two disks.24 votes

/ resize on KVM VM
SolusVM doesn't resize the / of the KVM VM when we upgrade the Disk size from SolusVM. We heard it's due to the SWAP partition which is created in the same Disk. It would be to offer the feature which resize for KVM VM.22 votesIn Testing · 3 comments · KVM · Admin →
Improved IP block management
We have a lot of IPv4 /27 and /26 public IP blocks. At our various locations we share VLANs and IP blocks between many servers. Each time we add a new server we have to manually add the server to many IP blocks. This is a tedious exercise. It's the most tedious exercise we do in SolusVM management. We would like to request some kind of better design. I think what would be better is if SolusVM had some higher level "grouping" of network blocks that you then assigned to servers in same VLAN. When we needed to add a new network block we could add it to the one "group" which would then apply to all servers that already had that group. We raised a ticket on this on August 31st 2017 for reference.

raw or qcow2 disk images for KVM
Having done some experiments and seeing that NVMe is becoming the storage platform of the future I would like to request that you allow none LVM based storage for KVM.
RAW seems to perform some 30 - 40% better than logical volumes on raid NVMe, this may be due to some bottle neck or limitation with logical volume based block devices but the results are fairly consistent and from reboot to all guests booted RAW out performs LVM by closer to 60%
In simple terms this just means updating the config file the point at the raw or qcow2 image.21 votesIn Testing · 2 comments · Storage · Admin →

It would be great if we can deposit a VLAN at kvm in the solusvm admin panel.
It should also be possible to assign multiple VLANs (trunk mode).18 votes

Allow us to limit IOPS and Disk Speed per KVM VM
It would be amazing if we could easily and automatically (without using that config hack) limit IOPS and disk speeds assigned to the VM. Currently, anyone can just use all available node speeds without limitations.16 votes0 comments · KVM · Admin →
