  1. When create new VM, for "Primary IP", would be great if have drop-down ip list to select instead of manually key-in the intended ip address. Just similar in old SolusVM.

  2. Booting in UEFI in a VM - Currently, if the VM is resized (CPU, RAM), the correct manual edits for UEFI boot are reverted to the global ones from the CR(bios) and again, the manual changes need to be done on the same VM. A persistent option will be very helpful, especially in cases were from 100 VMs only 10 for example, need to be different

  3. Customers can create Virtual servers in 2 ways.

    1. You can purchase a "prepaid" virtual server through WHMCS.
    2. Can create "pay-as-you-go" virtual server via SolusVM administration panel.

If the user wants to use 2 billing methods:
Will make purchases through WHMCS to create a "prepaid" virtual server.
To purchase "pay-as-you-go" packages, Solusvm will create a server through the administration panel.

But using it this way causes a problem like this.
The user purchased 2 "prepaid" virtual servers from WHMCS.
And he created 1 "pay-as-you-go" package via the Solusvm management panel.
If the user enters the Solusvm Administration panel, he will see…

  6. Some IP addresses may be assigned with certain services of products' licenses, so the new VM with the same IP may get access to them until the product/license is terminated as well.

  7. Hi Hostsailor Security Team,
I'm Yash Bug Bounty Hunter from India.

    Vulnerable Url:-
    https://vps.hostsailor.com/login.php
Login Function is blocking through the IP.

I would like to report rate limit issue based on IP blocking mechanism. Rate-limitation nowadays is not effective anymore to protect against brute-force. There are many botnets out there which can be used to overcome this hurdle, as well as cloud (VPS) services (e.g. Amazon AWS EIPs, Digital Ocean, ...), VPNs, proxies.
We can use IP Rotation extension in Burpsuite to exploit IP Based Rate limiting.
In this case I validated by changing my IP but in extension it…

  8. Many customers now require individual tariffs so that they can independently select the required number of cores, memory, disk. This is especially true for cloud services. - http://prntscr.com/r4595b

But, but, unfortunately, solusvm does not allow the use of custom individual settings through the implementation of Quantity as an Option Type WHMCS.

We ask you to realize this opportunity, because the option you proposed is extremely inconvenient - https://documentation.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/Resource+Chooser

  9. It would be good to have an option to select the Volume Group before the VM creation.

At the moment, SolusVM is allowing us to create VM from only one Volume Group. Let's say, there are two HDD's available for VM creation in Xen/KVM. One is SATA and another one is SSD. If we have an option to select the Volume Group, we could create two different Volume Group from two disks.

  10. Currently SolusVM can't assign IPv6 addresses to virtual server when created.
There is the workaround that assign IPv6 Subnets to virtual server and define 1 to the 'IPv6 Addresses' parameter in the Plan.

But the IPv6 Subnets function has the limitation that assignable IPv6 subnet range's minimum is '/112'. So customers can assign many IPv6 addresses ranged in '/112'.

So if VPS service provider want a virtual server to assign only one IPv6 address, they should assign from SolusVM Web UI manually.

I need the function to solve these issues.

  11. Cloud init is the standard when it comes to provisioning servers. Not only in large clouds such as AWS, others use it too in one way or another. It would be good if SolusVM would follow this standard.
