  1. Add Chinese language pack to the SolusVM 2.0

    The SolusVM 2.0 lacks additional languages and it's required to add Chinese translation or an option for users to add translations/translate the UI.

  2. Fix Password Reset

    The password reset system awkward. We use the WHMCS module for client access and SolusIO CP for admin management.

    When you select VM > rescue > reset password. The function only emails the password. The system should present you with a new password inside the panel and allow you to copy that password to the clipboard and see it.

    The WHMCS module should do the same thing if the client resets the password.

  3. Exclude the IP from the list of usable upon VM's termination

    Some IP addresses may be assigned with certain services of products' licenses, so the new VM with the same IP may get access to them until the product/license is terminated as well.

    I want the administrator to download the English language pack format, translate it into another language, and upload it to reflect it in the service.

    Example)

    • Github translation participation and regular updates

    • Translation packs (Json, xml..etc) that can be directly downloaded/uploaded by the administrator

    Good to have an API call to create VM using custom resources by mentioning the RAM, CPU, and DISK.

  9. Add ability to Enable PCI Passthrough

    By enabling PCI passthrough will allow us to use a physical PCI device (graphics card, network card) inside a VM.

    This is highly required for VPS servers with Graphic Cards, which is not possible with SolusVM at this time and it has been present with competitors for quite some time.

    When adding lots of plans for example for a special sale or infrastructure change it would be great to be able to import an entire excel or csv in one go

    It would be great to have API support to fetch the node statistics from the dashboard for every node.

    It will overcome the drawback of the existing node statistics API call.

  13. Modify individual resource like CPU for a VM and in plan on SolusIO

    There are limitations in resource upgrades for the VM and modifying the plan. Allowing to change the unique resource for VMs and plan on the SolusIO will make it more feasible.

  14. Qcow2 filesystem support for OpenVZ in SolusIO

    SolusIO creates the OpenVZ VM on Virtuozzo 7 environment in Ploop format now. It would be great to have an option to create the VM in qcow2 images.

  18. Changing the ownership of a domain name from SolusVM Client Panel

    It would be better to have an option in SolusVM Client to change/transfer the ownership (VM) of the domain name records.

    For example, if the owner was deleted and then in the future, a new user was added for the same client, with the same domains, it would be good to have an option to achieve this instead of editing the database.

    Login Function is blocking through the IP.

    I would like to report rate limit issue based on IP blocking mechanism. Rate-limitation nowadays is not effective anymore to protect against brute-force. There are many botnets out there which can be used to overcome this hurdle, as well as cloud (VPS) services (e.g. Amazon AWS EIPs, Digital Ocean, ...), VPNs, proxies.
    We can use IP Rotation extension in Burpsuite to exploit IP Based Rate limiting.

  20. Ability to bulk assign IP blocks to a node!

    It would be better to have a feature like bulk assign IP blocks to a Node instead of editing each IP block and selecting the New Node in its settings.

    It's very time-consuming process when have more number IP blocks as well as Nodes.
