  2. Add the virtio-scsi support for KVM VM, since it's currently supports the VirtIO and IDE driver, it would be better to have virtio-scsi drive.

  3. SolusVM doesn't resize the / of the KVM VM when we upgrade the Disk size from SolusVM. We heard it's due to the SWAP partition which is created in the same Disk. It would be to offer the feature which resize for KVM VM.

  4. It would be amazing if we could easily and automatically (without using that config hack) limit IOPS and disk speeds assigned to the VM. Currently, anyone can just use all available node speeds without limitations.

  7. It would be better to have an option select bootloader as UEFI for KVM VM since windows allow the resize of more than 2TB with only UEFI bootloader, BIOS bootloader is not resizing the Windows VM when it have more than 2TB.

  8. Allow us to customize the style of graphs for SolusVM. Currently, graphs look like they are from the software which was used in 1990. Or alternatively, allow us to parse data so that we can create our own styled graphs.

  9. As the title of this feature requests says, it will be really handy to have such feature and limit clients IOps when dealing with abusive clients, or it will be even better we can setup this limit in the KVM plans.

Limiting or throttling the IO of KVM QEMU instances is possible with cgroup blkio controller => https://www.linux-kvm.org/images/7/72/2011-forum-keep-a-limit-on-it-io-throttling-in-qemu.pdf

Also virsh has support for it too => https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/virtualization_deployment_and_administration_guide/sect-managing_guest_virtual_machines_with_virsh-disk_io_throttling

  11. I feel like the CPU topology setting should be on the plan pages not in the template page. As plans dictate the amount of vCPUs on a VPS, not the template and so that makes no sense. The rest such as passthrough, make sense as these can matter per operating system such as Windows. This way everyone can properly set CPU topology globally and correctly for each plan.

Without CPU topology, operating systems don't recognize the structure as it is. They detect the allocated vCPUs as sockets, so giving a VPS 2 vCPUs means the operating system detects it as…

  13. During the VM creation, solusvm slave uses virt-resize --expand /dev/sda1 template.gz /dev/dm-x to expand the template and to write to the LV. However, if LV has obsolete data on it, and virt-resize copies template with sparse mode, the obsolete data could occupy the space where superblocks are supposed to write to and it leads to no bootable device error.

I understand this behaviour can be avoided if we already zeroed the Volume Group, but it's still affecting the Windows guests.

Please add a toggle to enable/disable the --no-sparse mode for each template in Template settings page.

  17. Add ability to set NIC driver for KVM template is SolusVM
Some templates do not support virtio driver for NIC.
It would be handy if there is an option to choose NIC driver for a particular template

  18. Disk scrubbing option helps to zero the LVM on every deletion. It would be better if SolusVM zeroed the LVM on every reinstallation.

  20. By default, SolusVM operates VNC ports in its database and adds it to .xml config file, so changes to qemu.conf do not affect the VNC ports for VPS. It would be great to be able to switch it on other range of ports.
