An error occurred while saving the comment Daniel Lynes commentedIt would be a nice feature to bring it in line with other public cloud infrastructures. In the meantime, I'm using iptables, ebtables and nftables.

An error occurred while saving the comment Daniel Lynes commentedCurrently if you don't specify an IP address, it'll just grab the next available IP address from the netblocks available for that computing resource. It would be nice if you could select which netblock and/or select which IP address, instead of expecting the user to enter in an IP address manually.

An error occurred while saving the comment Daniel Lynes commentedIt would be awesome to be able to select which block of IPs I would like to assign an IP address from, without having to force me to manually enter an IP address (this implies that the end user knows what ranges they can enter an IP address from).

There are other ways of effecting the same changes using hackish solutions, but obviously those aren't the best way of solving it. If it's in the GUI it provides a much more polished solution for end users, too.
