  1. Disable Backup Deletion upon VM delete and Enable Recovery

    • Stop deletion, set purge.

    • VM deletion also deletes backups. This should purge after XX days not immediately as their could be a mistake. We should be able to set purge days per backup node.

    • Backup Recovery

    Recovering a full backup to a new CR.
    - Select the backup from a list of Backups (even deleted VMs) pending purge
    - Select the NEW CR
    - Select the NEW hostname

    The backup server will send full backup to newly created VM on selected CR.

    • I'm sure there is underlying issues here but this would be amazing *

  2. Assign a Backup Node to Certain VMs

    Click on VM > Backups > (drop down box) select which backup node or (random) by default.

    Backups > Backup Nodes > (Exclude a backup node from (random) selection)

    This comes in handy when you have multiple backup nodes for example SSD vs. NVME vs. Spinning or different teir levels for customers backups.

    or... you just want to dedicated an entire node for your VMs vs. customers.

  3. allow saving copies on nfs disks

    that the backup system is more similar to proxmox and allows copies to be saved in NFS storage and that the copies of the machines that are deleted are not deleted

    It is important to make an option for schedule backup time for 3 options ( Daily / Weekly / Monthly )
    As many of users like to keep Monthly some older backups

  11. Modify AutoFTP backup file names

    Add the ability to modify AutoFTP backup file names for VM's as they get backed up.
    For example, Currently, they are saved like this,
    3568-vz-3558-1.tgz
    I would like to include the node name in the file as well. So it could look like,
    de-vz4-3568-vz-3558-1.tgz
    Depending on the slave node name.

  15. backup information usability

    Would like improvement in backup usability information, It involves a few small things that will enhance usability:

    • please add extra column in virtual server list which indicate if the backup has been enabled for that VM (also a toggle switch)
    • please add the server hostname information at the end of the backup file name.
    • please add the server hostname information too at the email backup report

  20. Increase the pbzip2 threads for Automated FTP backup.

    Increase the pbzip2 threads upto 30 for Automated FTP backup. It would be good if there is option to select 30 pbzip2 threads in Backup settings dropd-down.
