Add IPs in reserved state
We would like to request a new feature for when adding a new network block and IPs in SolusVM that there is a checkbox or option to add the IP's in a reserved state. We sometimes acquire RIPE addresses and actually preconfigure them in SolusVM before our network team partner has completed the actual network configuration. Occasionally we've had orders coincidentally come in the same moment we are adding additional network blocks and get provisioned on the new network blocks that are not yet reserved or fully set up.
Therefore we would like to be able to add network block…

move ip between ip blocks
After migrating CRs or Slaves from SVM1 to SMV2, the IP blocks were completely disorganized and sometimes duplicated. In order to reorganize, I would like to see the possibility of moving the IPs within blocks and thus leaving everything organized since it has brought us several problems, including affecting the assignment of IPs.

IP subnet allocation
At the moment the system selects the available IPs 'randomly' from the available subnets.
It's needed to implement an option to switch from a 'random' selection of IPs to selecting "most free", and "round-robin" as well.
Randomness is causing shattering in all subnets and issues with provisioning.

DNS Settings - All System Variables in both fields
As you know, rDNS PTR should match the hostname (domain) value. This means that the created domain should resolve to the IP address and vice versa.
For this reason, it would be desirable to have the ability to set something like the following in both fields of the template settings, for example:Default hostname template for new servers: {{random-prefix}}.super.cloud
Default reverse DNS record template: {{random-prefix}}.super.cloud
or
Default hostname template for new servers: {{random-prefix}}.{{ ip-dashed }}.super.cloud
Default reverse DNS record template: {{random-prefix}}.{{ ip-dashed }}.super.cloudRight now, in the first field, only {{random-prefix}} is available, and other macros, such as {{ ip-dashed…

Implement network speed throttling depending on bandwidth usage for OpenVZ and Xen slaves
Please implement network speed throttling depending on bandwidth usage for OpenVZ and Xen slaves. Currently, there is such functionality for KVM servers - https://docs.solusvm.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=7667908

Exclude servers from ebtables
If you enable the option "IP Stealing & ARP Attack" at the node configuration, it affects all servers on the node.
A GUI integration to exclude single servers from the protection is useful, e.g. for internal servers.

choose the IP When adding a VPC network interface
When adding a VPC network interface, it is not possible to choose the IP assigned to this VPS. It would be good to be able to choose which IP of this VPC network the VPS should use among the free IPs of that VPC network.

Proposal for Automatic Subnet Configuration in SolusVM2
It would be highly beneficial if SolusVM2 had a feature for automatic subnet configuration based on the provider—such as Hetzner, OVH, Contabo, or custom subnets.
Users would simply need to enter the following details:
Network IP
Gateway IP
Broadcast IP
NetmaskThis would not only streamline subnet management but also set SolusVM2 apart from competitors, as I’m not aware of any other systems offering this functionality.
It could be a win-win for both your team and your customers.

set static reverse dns entry and show them users (No PowerDNS usage)
There are many large hosting companies that do not allow you to delegate reverse DNS entries to your own (PowerDNS) server.
I therefore have to adjust these entries manually with the hoster.
To make this easier for the Virtuel Machine user, I ask that you can set RDNS entries per IPV4/IPV6 in the admin area.
This will then be displayed to customers in the "IP range" of the respective virtual machine. In this way, I can manually change the entries at the hoster and also show the customer what the current entries are.
As a second step I could imagine…

Secure the CR (compute resources) from outside attacks to Agent
If you login to a CR you can see connections incoming to the CR agent. This should by default only be allowed to/from other CRs and management any not require custom firewall rules after configuration.

Could SolusVM distinguish statistics the traffic going to different routes?
We have a BGP network with many different egress routes. We want to differentiate the billing of traffic routed through different egresses. Could SolusVM distinguish statistics the traffic going to different routes?
Example:
Bandwidth egress No.1: 250GB / 500GB (download & upload)
Bandwidth egress No. 2: 250GB / 500GB (only upload)1 vote -

Set reverse DNS for reserved IPv6 addresses
If you have reserved an IPv6 subnet you can't change the reverse DNS of an IP in that range. We would like to be able to set reverse DNS for the physical machines in our network with IPv6.
