    SolusVM 2 necessitates the installation of Guest Tools to modify the VM hostname.

    Consider enabling this feature without relying on Guest Tools.

    Alternatively,

    It may be more effective to update the name or description of a virtual machine, which does not automatically imply altering the hostname within the VPS.
